LIKE AN ADVENTURE, ONLY EASIER.

Fishing trips should have you reeling in trophy fish — not reeling from high prices and hectic travel plans. As the only lodging on the water, Castlebar Lake Lodge is perched on the edge of a remote 3,000-acre lake full of pike, perch, walleye, and brook trout. As a family-owned camp, the lodge is an affordable destination for Canada fishing trips, with lodging starting at $300 per person per week for groups of three or more.

In the fall, hunters can find their trophy among the area’s high concentration of moose, as well as both ruffled grouse and spruce grouse. The area’s many logging roads, lakes, and rivers make getting around easier and game retrieval assistance is included with full hunts.

Castlebar Lake Lodge blends adventure with convenience. There’s no shared bathhouse here — each cabin is equipped with its own three-piece bathroom. Each cabin also has its own kitchen and a sunroom with a view of the lake. Bunk rooms sleep between four and 12 guests, for both large or small groups.

Castlebar Lake Lodge is just a 30-minute drive from Longlac, Ontario, where guests can find a grocery store and bait shop. The camp is located about 39 km. east of Longlac, down four miles of dirt road off of Highway 11. That puts the lodge within a 12-hour drive from Toronto, Detroit, Minneapolis, or Green Bay, or within a 14-hour drive from Chicago or Cleveland.

For Canada fishing trips high on adventure and low on inconvenience, experience Castlebar Lake Lodge.
